About this event

Raise a Glass to Saint Andrew

Saint Andrew’s Day is Scotland’s official national day (Scots: Saunt Andra’s Day ; Scottish Gaelic: Là Naomh Anndrais ), and it kicks off the season of Scottish winter festivals that runs through Hogmanay and Burns Night . From Edinburgh to the Cape Fear, Scots and their friends mark the occasion the same way: good food, good music, and good company.

Join the Scottish Society of Wilmington for our annual Saint Andrew’s potluck supper! Pull up a chair, fill your plate, and spend the evening with the people who make the Scottish community here such a lively one.

Here’s the plan:

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Supper first. Bring a main, side, salad, or dessert to share. Please tell us which in your RSVP so we end up with a proper feast and not nine desserts.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿We’ll cover the rest. SSOW provides water, beer, and wine, plus plates, napkins, and utensils. Prefer your own favorite drink? Bring it along.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Then a short, friendly look ahead. Over supper, we’ll share what we accomplished this year and what’s coming next, including plans for the year ahead. Your ideas and voice are welcome.

Members in good standing are invited, and so is anyone curious about joining. It’s a warm way to meet us, and a good night to become part of the story.

RSVP today, and tell us what you’re bringing!

Listed by SSOW (Wix Events), gathered by the Leland events calendar.
